 Bulgarian Theological College
During the past month several very important events took place. First, in the beginning of the month of November we had a one-week visit from the new president of the college – Dr. Tom Rosson. He came from Germany with his translator and co-worker Zhivko (a Bulgarian national who pastors a church in Germany).
The reason for this first visit was for Dr. Rosson to get to know our team better, to listen to our needs, worries and future plans, and to motivate and encourage us so we can be ready for the difficulties and challenges on the road ahead of us. We had a really good time of strategic planning and envisioning what would be coming ahead and what needed to be done to take the theological education to a new level.
In the academic area, we need to mention that our new students in the distance learning program are doing really great. They took their second course in mass media and computers and most of them did very well on the practical test at the end in the computer lab. In the middle of the month we organized a meeting between the students and the teachers and staff so we can get to know each other. We used the opportunity to motivate the students and to tell them that the study of theology is not easy, but that it is rewarding and really helps in practical ministry.
