The Church of God acknowledges, as part of the Great Commission, its responsibility to provide educational opportunities for its constituency. The programs of education are predicated upon a Biblical theological foundation as set forth in the Declaration of Faith. World Missions knows that the church internationally has grown in direct proportion to its training programs. When education is neglected, evangelism ceases. Training is a cornerstone of the ministry of World Missions. Internationally, there are 107 institutions of training strategically placed throughout the world with over 23,000 students. Certain schools have been designated as the premier school for their area. These schools include: All training is based upon the infallible Word of God with an emphasis upon the Holy Spirit as Guide and Teacher. Five Reasons to Continue Support to World Leadership Training 1. Pastoral Care and Enrichment Our schools and training programs serve pastors and church leaders who are already in ministry and who need the fellowship and enrichment of training programs. 2. Preparation of the Work Force Financial investment in training has paid high dividends in church growth and high caliber church leadership. Almost every national educational leader or school president has been touched by one of the many quality regional colleges or national Bible institutes. 3. Perpetuation of Pentecostal Heritage, Doctrine, and Experience Our schools emphasize prayer and revival. The teaching of Pentecostal doctrine provides stability and maturity for our troubled world. 4. Planting and Establishing New Churches Professors and students join as fellow-workers outside the classroom to get into unevangelized villages, towns, and cities to begin new churches. Evangelism and education go hand-in-hand. 5. Penetration of Pioneer Territory and Unreached Peoples The most significant, strategic role of our schools is in new field evangelism. Church of God World Missions students are on the leading edge of cross-cultural new field church planting in areas where people have never heard the gospel.
