The 10/40 Window represents a rectangular area of the world, extending from 10 degrees to 40 degrees north of the equator and spanning the globe from western Africa to eastern Asia. Over four billion people live here and most of these have never heard the Gospel message even once. Why not? Many of these nations lack religious freedom. Their religion is dictated by their political and spiritual leaders. When God wants to change a country, He moves on the hearts of His people to pray. Sustained, specific prayer for the political and spiritual leaders of the 10/40 Window can transform these 68 nations and their leaders. - Every major non-Christian religion is based here. Islam is the predominant religion in 47 of these countries, Buddhism in 12, Hinduism in two, tribal religions in two, Christianity in four, Judaism in one, and atheism in one.
- According to Open Doors International, 43 of the 50 worst countries in the world for persecution of Christians are here.
- Research shows that at least 26 countries in the Window are Gospel-ready! Won’t you join with millions of believers around the world as we pray fervently, knowledgeably, and faithfully to break through the strongholds and advance the Kingdom in this part of the world?
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority,
- that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." (1 Tim. 2:1-4 NIV) Political Leaders pray: - that they would rule with righteousness and justice. (Proverbs 15:29)
- that they would be motivated not by greed, lust, or power but by peace and justice. (Proverbs 29:14)
- that they would dismantle any terrorist networks in their country. (Job 4:8)
- that they would support Israel in spite of world pressure. (Zechariah 2:8)
- that they would not discriminate against Christians but allow full freedom of religion. (Psalm 119:45)
- that they would rescind legislation that is anti-Christian, anti-missionary, antiproselytism, and anti-conversion. (Psalm 119:1)
- that Christians would be bold and take every opportunity to “speak before kings” as the Holy Spirit directs.
(Psalm 119:46) - that evil rulers would be toppled and God would raise up righteous, Godfearing leaders who have compassion for their people. (Daniel 2:21)
- that current political leaders would come to know the Lord. (Proverbs 21:1)
Spiritual Leaders pray: - that they would seek godly wisdom. (Proverbs 24:14)
- that the Lord would surround them with wise counselors. (Proverbs 12:15)
- to bind the evil spiritual powers that control and manipulate wicked leaders. (Mark 9:29)
- that spiritual leaders would meet Jesus,
- that He would come to them in dreams and visions and do signs and wonders in their midst. (Joel 2:28-32)
- that they would fear the Lord, though they do not know Him personally. (Psalm 33:18)
- that they would take a stand against evil, even at the risk of antagonizing other countries. (Proverbs 16:12)
"Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere Him. For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm. The LORD foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD." (Psalm 33:8-12) View COG General Overseer, G. Dennis McGuire Covenant Video on World Evangelization.
